REMOVED, RENEWED was an exhibition featuring a selection of images by photographer Eric Pickersgill from his REMOVED series. In this acclaimed series, Pickersgill reenacts familiar scenes by asking sitters to perform the gesture of gazing at their handheld devices, a choreography that calls attention to the way these technologies have shaped our daily life. The devices, notably, are absent — a striking elision that invites deeper reflection on the place of technology in our most intimate spaces.
