Join us on the evening of September 14th, 5-7pm for the opening of REMOVED, RENEWED, the inaugural exhibition at the Sanctuary Gallery of the Strother Radical School of Attention.

REMOVED, RENEWED is an exhibition featuring a selection of images by photographer Eric Pickersgill from his REMOVED series. In this acclaimed series, Pickersgill reenacts familiar scenes by asking sitters to perform the gesture of gazing at their handheld devices, a choreography that calls attention to the way these technologies have shaped our daily life. The devices are absent — a striking elision that invites deeper reflection on the place of technology in our most intimate spaces.

Eric Pickersgill (1986) is a photographer based in North Carolina. His work has exhibited in museums and galleries including The North Carolina Museum of Art, Pantheon-Sorbonne University, The Ackland Art Museum, Rick Wester Fine Art, Pulse Art Fair Miami, AIPAD.
