From our SEPTEMBER SIDEWALK STUDIES series: TIME
PALACES IN TIME
"The higher goal of spiritual living is not to amass a wealth of information, but to face sacred moments." So wrote Abraham Joshua Heschel, a civil rights activist and one of the great Jewish theological leaders of the 20th century. Heschel writes of the Sabbath as a "PALACE in TIME." We'll think about PALACES in TIME, both holy and secular, and explore what these palaces can teach us about sanctuary, care, and spiritual living.
