Sidewalk Study: HAUNTED LANDSCAPES in East Williamsburg

  • East Williamsburg Brooklyn, New York (map)

From our JULY SIDEWALK STUDIES series: WHY “STUDY” (IN THIS HEAT)?!

HAUNTED LANDSCAPES in East Williamsburg

In this age of extinction, past, present, and future are all mixed up. Time is out of whack… or maybe we are.

Arts of Living on a Damaged Planet proposes that, in this haunted era, attention to ghostly ecologies can help us reconnect to the worlds we've destroyed and the ones we hope to save. We'll draw on Butler's Precarious Life to consider the role of grief in making ways to live amid overwhelming loss.

Monday, July 15th: 7pm in EAST WILLIAMSBURG

Tsing et. al's Arts of Living on a Damaged Planet and Judith Butler's Precarious Life with Ben & Kyle.
